ready when you board the bus.
The farebox only holds change for 30 seconds,
then drops. If your fare drops, you will be
required to pay again.
Reduced Fares available for Medicare Card Holders, Senior Citizens and Persons with a Disability
In order to ride Middletown Area Transit or any State of Connecticut subsidized transit services at a reduced fare, you need to either have a Medicare I.D. card OR a Transit Reduced Fare photo I.D. Card. If you have a Medicare card, then a separate photo I.D. card is NOT required. Contact Customer Service for more information.
Transfers are issued free of charge
when requested by the passengers
upon boarding. Your transfer must
be used for the next scheduled
connection (based upon the time
marked on the transfer) at the first
point where the routes intersect.
MAT Bus Passes
Money saving tickets and passes are sold at the bus terminal and online. Click here to purchase tickets online. Damaged passes will not be replaced. Passes must be inserted in fare box at each boarding.
