Contact Us ADA / Dial A Ride Fares and Passes Rules & Safety Bus Schedules About M.A.T. Home

Important COVID-19 Alert

We ask that everyone who can assist in slowing the spread of COVID-19 by wearing face coverings when riding or waiting for MAT buses, per the governor's executive order.

MAT wants to update our customers on our preparation for the impacts of COVID-19 and the coronavirus. We have been working with CTDOT and the health department to determine an appropriate action plan to ensure the health and safety of our employees and customers.

For your safety, we have increased the frequency of the cleaning of buses to include daily disinfecting of touchpoints inside the vehicles with an anti-viral cleaner. We are also disinfecting our terminal 4-5 times per day.

Service Reduction or Suspension

We know you depend on us to get to work, shopping, medical appointments and much more. As such, we will make every effort to continue regular schedules, provided it is safe to do so.

If we determine the need to reduce or suspend service, we will notify you as soon as we can. This decision would be made in conference with CTDOT and the state emergency management agency. For updates on service reductions or suspensions, please visit and follow us on Facebook.

How You Can Help

Please also wash your hands throughout the day, including before and after riding the bus. Remember you must wash your hands for 20 seconds to fully disinfect your hands. At all times, avoid touching your face.

If you feel ill or suspect you have been exposed to the Coronavirus, please avoid all public transit. Our employees and other customers will appreciate it. There will be no points assessed for late cancelations on ADA and Dial-A-Ride during this period.
